This song it feels important to say was written before the pandemic. The song exemplifies both my anxiety about change and my inherent optimism to try to bring forward memories of childhood change that I loved about summertime.

This was written while I was in my most recent duo format called Reflectance.

As I launched my podcast this year in 2022 I met a new friend Scotty Auble who is a flute and sax player as I was interviewing him about his new album release. As we talked I asked him if he would be willing to collaborate on this song, and to my delight he said yes! Scotty's flute playing helped transform this arrangement into a wonderful place!
