I have been on a kick lately of revisiting older songs to update them with new arrangements. This allows me to bring myself fully present with ideas from my past. It is one of the ways that I connect with myself and as I continue to develop this allows me to better represent my music as I learn.

Finding you is throwing darts complete with drinks and broken hearts
I blame myself I just hit the wall there’s no point in blaming you

If I were you and I could fly I’d grab a corner of the sky

I think I’d wait until I’m perfect before I reveal myself to you again

There are only party hats and blame
Where meaning’s forged in young men’s flame
and in the wake of this parade
I create a new identity that I will celebrate

I used to fear sounds of my voice until I learned I had a choice
I am not weak when I am open and I’m hoping I can open up to you
I keep on choosing with every moment and I still choose that this is true

What does it mean to be a man at this age and with this span
But now I date myself and I would rather be dating you
