about

This is my 3rd contribution to the Keller Hall Eclipse Project. This rewrite felt so energizing. As I listened to the original recording it struck me as such a bold ambitious piece and yet it also seemed to be a demo, not yet fully realized. I had so much fun recreating the instrumentals, and as I did so, I was considering what the original lyrics meant to me and what this music wanted to say through me in the present moment. My hope is that this piece takes you on a journey and brings you back home.

lyrics

BRAINSTORM

Where do we go?
In our nightmares
In our daydreams
When our brain storms
In the daytime
Where do we go?

Well let’s go there
Let’s go there
If we really want to find out then let’s go there
Let’s go there
Let’s go there
Let’s go!

A voice within the room
Reflected in the night
asks us who we are
A mystical invite

The Question is alive
curious we find
The Question is alive
as we move through time

Challenged by the Night
The Moon and all the Stars
The ocean and the waves
the driftwood on the shore
the wind dancing the trees
the ocean is alive
changing all the time

We don’t dream we have nightmares
We don’t think we get brainstorms
We don’t know where we’re going
at the journey’s end we’re back at home
